With a building occupancy of about 1,000 - 2,000, the site can be busy therefore you must be able to work effectively, high volumes in the mornings, must know how to collaborate a grinder and have worked on traditional machines previously. This is very much a 'hands on' position to support the operational efficiency of the service, which also includes supporting a team of up to 5 staff to strive to continually exceeding expectations and provide first class retail operations and consistently doingthe right things and celebrating successes. As the Head Barista, you will perform the role of float where required, taking responsibility for delivering brand standards, educate and support your team on "everything there is to know about coffee", as well as responding to customer enquiries and deal effectivelyto questions and feedback. Head Barista requirements - You'll have a proven background in high volume cafes or coffee shops and thrive in a fast-paced environment. - Experience supervising a team with flexible approach to the role - Passionate, friendly, diligent and a great team player - Ability to display passion for everything about coffee. - Must be able demonstrate the requisite barista skills to produce high quality specialty coffees and other specialist drinks using a manual espresso machine - Excellent communication and customer service skills.
