We are currently recruiting for an ambitious and exceptional Head of Planning and Performance to join Principality at a pivotal time as we embark on the next stage of our ambitious strategic journey.

The role holder will report directly to the CFO and join the Society’s Senior Leadership population, leading a team of c.30 FTE, working with both our Executive team and Board to influence and achieve our enterprise ambition and long-term objectives.

We are looking for a broad skilled enterprise leader, with strong influencing skills who can role-model our leadership behaviours day in and day out. We need a person who can communicate and deliver a transformational vision for finance and build capability now to ensure we have the skills for the future.

**What you will be doing**
- Building the financial interpretation of the strategy through robust commercial forecasting and medium-term planning processes, communicating that simply to internal and external stakeholders
- Creating value add planning and performance analytics and insight to drive competitive advantage both today and into the future
- Lead the Business Partnering capability supporting the Executive team across cost management, change management and Commercial lending - acting as the “trusted advisor” to our business
- Lead the Decision Science, Measurement and Business Intelligence teams to support and drive business decisions (across customer, financial and non-financial analytics), presenting ad-hoc insight and analysis on a regular basis to both the Executive and Board
- Work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure a joined up approach to strategic planning and forecasting including stress testing linked to data provision and performance analysis
- Communicating a clear vision of what “good” looks like across planning, modelling and analytics

**Experience you will bring**
- Qualified accountant (preferred) with a high level of technical and professional experience in senior strategic finance roles in financial services (ideally mortgages and savings)
- Proven leadership of a sizeable cross functional team delivering high performance through a culture of continuous improvement
- Intellectually curious, won't stop asking questions to drive insight
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at Executive and Board level both verbally and in writing
- Ability to effectively collaborate and lead across the business - influencing key stakeholders
- Experience of building future-proofed capability in detailed, precise regulated environments
- Exposure to the regulator, rating agencies and investment banks

**Salary**: £100,000.00-£105,000.00 per year
