The Joint Office of Gas Transporters are the Code Administrator for the Uniform Network Code (UNC), which sets out the common transportation arrangements for Great Britain’s gas industry. Our role is to administer the governance of the processes for modifying the UNC and for a number of sub-committees that oversee its operations.
**The Opportunity**
You will be providing comprehensive support to the CEO; support and undertake full diary management of the CEO by managing daily schedule. Manage direct requests to the CEO (mail, calls, visits and others) by drafting responses and redirecting as appropriate to ensure the CEO’s time is managed effectively. Provide general administrative support to the CEO and wider team (e.g. organise and summarise papers and reports in preparation for meetings) Provide a first line response for wider team communications by managing incoming phone calls, mail and correspondence.
**What we’ll ask of you**:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager and Team
- Ensure support is provided to meet team's objectives and requirements
- Support the development, collation and production of Key Performance Indicators
- Work within and promote the philosophy of safe team working
- Broad knowledge of Cadent’s Core Policies and Procedures that impact the way we operate
- Facilitate and efficiently co-ordinate and administer projects the team is working on
- Actively demonstrate and promote the Cadent Values, and positively contribute to a customer-oriented approach
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence by adhering to agreed standard operating procedures and making suggestions for improvements
- Be inquisitive with an interest in developing existing skill set and learning new skills
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders

**Requirements**:
You’ll possess the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Good standard of education is required, including GCSE Maths and English
- NVQ in Administration is desirable
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office O365, SharePoint and SAP
- A good knowledge of SharePoint is desirable
- Experience in processing invoices
- Excellent written English/letter writing skills and high attention to detail
- Successful track record in providing an efficient and comprehensive Diary Management to Senior Managers
- Experience in liaising with senior members of staff both internally and externally
- Ability to deal with tight timescales and deal diplomatically with confidential material
- Experience in planning & organising
- Knowledge of LEAN tools and techniques (advantageous)
- Highly action orientated, willing to take on new responsibilities and personally motivated

- Ability to provide great customer service
- Strong relationship management
