This includes artist studios, designer-maker workshops and workspaces for creative businesses. Our studios are housed in a variety of converted industrial buildings, from Victorian factories to light-industrial units, each with their own vibrant community

We are seeking an all rounder caretaker to help sustain a high standard of cleanliness and safety throughout the buildings. Initially we are seeking a freelancer but we are flexible on the arrangement once probation period has passed.

Salary 23-25k - Full-time

Monday to Friday - hours ( eg, 7am to 4pm / 10am to 6pm )

Permanent full time role, freelance basis £96 per day / £25k PA

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned areas
- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens and communal areas and replenish supplies as needed
- Empty trash and dispose of waste and recycling properly
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to studio managers
- Help keep outdoor areas maintained and basic gardening skills
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Keep all entrances, corridors and emergency exits free from obstructions and items left by tenants.
- Assist the maintenance technician with any repairs or maintenance tasks
- Ability to prepare walls and rooms for painting and do basic redecorations
- Conduct building inspections monitoring for any problems and be proactive in fixing them
- Maintain security measures to protect the properties from unauthorized access or damage.
- Develop a comprehensive cleaning schedule
- Have basic knowledge of using computers and uploading images and information to websites for selling items or removal (gumtree/ ebay)

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in care taking or janitorial work preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and maintenance repairs
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff and tenants
