Overview:

The **Senior Primary Care Network Recovery Worker** will work as part of a team. This role will primarily work within local primary care spaces such as GP surgeries, hospitals, pharmacies, and other community settings.

You will provide support to people that have been identified as requiring help with addressing their alcohol and/or substance misuse. You will deliver a range or interventions and provide a package of holistic support to help build resilience an improve people’s ability to achieve their goals and build recovery.

**Hours**: 37.5

**Salary**: £31,529.41 - £33,708.57 (CGL Scale 28- 30) dependent on experience

With Inner London Weighting £4072.06

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Identify, and engage with, people who have substance misuse problems with complex physical and / or mental health needs, including co-morbidity.
- Provide psycho-social interventions within the primary care setting to those who are not currently accessing the core hubs
- Support the development of service-based recovery communities
- Assist and carry out appropriate screening processes including DBST, urine and saliva tests, after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experience
- Engage in regular consultation with service users to maintain the quality of the service, supporting staff by encouraging service user engagement
- Ensure that all aspects of confidentiality are adhered to

**About you**:

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field
- Knowledge and experience of multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group
- Ability to communicate complex information to individuals and groups in a way that is easily understood
- Written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information
- Excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives
