Hotel Assistant

Reception Team Member - Angharad Hotel, Llanelli

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic creative hosts to join us at our Boutique Hotel. You will be responsible for running an efficient reception area, managing bookings and ensuring a pleasant and warm experience for our guests. Serving in the restaurant, bar and coffee shop is also part of this exciting position

Shifts will include early mornings, evenings and weekends

Greeting and checking in guests to the hotel Serving guests in Restaurant, Bar and Coffee Shop

Excellent customer service skills including telephone manners

This are the responsibilities for the positions.

Each person takes on a responsibility/area so that its always maintained. However, the overall responsibility is everyone.
- _Physical Areas -_*

Responsible for ensuring they are maintained, cleaned and open for operation at the times required (see also operational and cleaning manuals for building)

Person 1 - Front apron, foyer/reception, ground floor corridors and loos, 1st and 2nd floor corridors and landings (includes watering plants)

Person 2 - All bedrooms

Person 3 - Bar, restaurant rear yard (includes watering plants)

**Marketing / Social Media (supported by Head office)**

Pictures and posts on twitter/facebook/insta Posting details of events/workshops Advertising bar promotions especially pre-game offerings Creating and updating the guest information within the hotel (supported by Head Office) Connecting with local creatives Connect with creatives and guests further afield Internal and external signage (functional, legal, wayfinding and guest/visitor info) Analysing the website with links to booking engine, social media etc.

Refining and managing the cleaning team duties.

Ordering and stock control for cleaning materials

**Business Development**

Set up local networking meetings - offering event space as well as hotel accommodation Connect with organisations to publicise what they are showing to our guests and can they help us?

Connect with and secure deals with local offerings and “things to do” - feed this information to Marketing for the guest information books.

Look to attend conferences or expos - Visit Wales to be part of their offering Develop ways to advertise our offering further afield

Promote usage of events space to local community groups, repair cafe, moms morning out etc Manage the online booking system (key income driver) Overall responsibility for IT and external communication systems

**Food & Beverage**

Be responsible for the bar - cocktails and special drinks promotions.

Keep them fresh and fun

Get to know our suppliers Investigate and connect with local beer and gin suppliers Maintain a decent breakfast and snack menu and develop day/eve bar menu - know the costs; best presentation Control the bar and food environment - how it looks, ambience, promotions, presentation, Review purchase prices, sale prices and breadth of offer on a regular basis with hotel manager Ordering and stock control Ensure health and safety and hygiene rules are followed by everyone - appropriate signage and systems/checks in place

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-30 per week

**Salary**: £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Llanelli, SA15 2TH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
