**The Role**:
We are pleased to announce a brand-new opportunity at InterGen for a Back Office Associate. This role is a crucial new addition to our team designed to support the successful operation of the Back Office function as InterGen continues to develop and change. As the business grows, we are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and process driven individual to join us in delivering continued success. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Back Office operations bringing fresh ideas to help us maintain our high standards and drive continuous improvement in our processes.

**The Team**:
This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in our team and be a part of our journey. As part of the Back Office team within Finance, you will work closely with the other Finance functions, but also across the business including IT, Commercial and Regulatory teams. But you won’t stop there - the nature of this role ensures you will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across all areas of InterGen and our sister companies.

**What you’ll be doing**:
As our Back Office Associate, you will operate key Back Office controls and confidently identify and suggest improvements to enhance our processes. This role involves processing trade confirmations and settlements to ensure everything aligns perfectly with our contractual agreements. You will need to maintain effective and open relationships with both our internal and external stakeholders, keep a close attention to detail and remain highly organised.

The tasks you will be doing in the Back Office are an essential part of the trade lifecycle, and provides invaluable support to the Trading and Commercial functions of the business. As part of your role supporting the rest of the Finance team, you will also be responsible for aspects of month-end and year-end, as well as maintaining key controls to safeguard our business.

**Experience**:
We’re looking for someone who has previous experience working within a finance team with experience performing reconciliations and other control activities. Additional experience within the Energy sector, in a Back Office function or of Trading systems will be considered but not essential.
