About the School
- As an agency we aim to keep you as local as possible in the schools that we work with and will always endeavour to keep your travel time to a minimum. We have some fantastic relationships in the area and there is regular work coming through and are certainto be able to keep you busy The schools we work with have lots of day-to-day opportunities which can turn into long term if not permanent posts if this is what you would prefer.
Your Role
- Supervising students and managing behaviour in the classroom while work left by an absent teacher is completed.
- Assisting pupils with questions they may have and to help to the best of your ability
- Collecting completed work at the end of each lesson ensuring that it is kept together in accordance with the school policies
- Leaving a handover note for the returning teacher including any issues to be reported or behaviours that need rewarding by the permanent teacher.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people in the 11 - 18 age brackets.
- Passion for the education of young people
- Ideally be degree qualified although not essential if you have experience working with young people
- Ability to build strong professional relationships with staff and students
- Flexibility and being able to adapt to ever-changing environments.
