The Vacancy

We have a vacancy on either an Internal Secondment or Fixed Term Contract which means that you could become a member of our fantastic Private Sector Leasing (PSL) Team providing great services to our customers and property owners and supporting our LocalAuthority partners to provide homes for those that desperately need them.

The social housing landscape is everchanging and we have made the business decision to wind down the PSL service in order to focus on our own rental homes in our core area around the Home Counties. Our PSL team is working hard to ensure our strategic decisionhas mínimal adverse impact on our customers and stakeholders. This means we are maintaining a dedicated specialist team as our PSL homes gradually reduce in number.

We are looking for hard working an experienced housing professional preferably with experience of managing Assured Shorthold Tenancies, therefore your experience may come from the private or public sector.

The role will involve you speaking with property owners, tenants, local authority staff and other agencies so you will need to be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that you and you team provide support to our tenants in moving to other homes and that you manage well any tenancy issues. This may involve managing a small patch of properties yourself.

You may need to visit properties /attend evictions so use of a car for work is essential.

Where could this role take you?

Whilst this is not a permanent role, in a business our size and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended or other opportunities may arise; many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigmas temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term does not materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields.

If you have not previously managed staff this may give you the experience that you require to move into another role managing staff.
