A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic procurement professional to join a busy organisation, to be responsible for sourcing Sustainable Packaging.

**Key Responsibilities of the Packaging Buyer;**
- Identify opportunities to diversify supply chains and seek new opportunities.
- Manage new and existing relationships to reduce costs and ensure supply chains are robust and consistent.
- Ensure the business is at the forefront of product innovation in terms of design, materials and quality.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that products are available at the right time at the right cost.
- Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing.
- Ensure products are available in a timely manner for both product launches and day to day business.
- Manage an efficient flow of goods to ensure optimum production and optimum delivery.
- Create Purchase Orders, book logistics, generate shipping documents and organise overall international logistics.
- Receive product specifications from the sales team and obtain quotes from manufacturers.

**Personal Specification of thePackaging Buyer ;**
- Experience of Packaging Purchasing.
- Experience of sourcing from China would be an advantage.
- Strong negotiation & influencing skills.

This role would also suit you if you have held a role within purchasing or procurement as a Buyer, Senior Buyer, Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Controller.
