The Head of Conduct Oversight and Reputational Risk reports to the Head of Corporate Defence Compliance and is responsible for the oversight of the Conduct and Reputational Risk Framework in Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) UK.

The Corporate Defence Compliance function, which comprises of Conduct Oversight, Whistleblowing, Reputational Risk, Data Protection, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Anti-Tax Evasion, FATCA/CRS and Fraud, is part of the wider SCIB UK Compliance team within Banco Santander London Branch (SLB), and seeks to identify, manage and mitigate risks associated with each of the above in order to ensure compliance with internal policy and relevant laws or regulations.

- Maintaining Conduct and Reputational Risk policies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry practice
- Providing support, oversight and challenge regarding the Conduct Risk Framework, which by extension includes Culture, and the Reputational Risk Framework
- Managing and supporting conduct related investigations, and liaising with relevant stakeholders in relation to conduct incidents
- Acting as the central point of contact for queries related to the Reputational Risk Framework
- Assessing the reputational risk associated with new to bank clients, existing clients and transactions, or other scenarios which could pose a reputational risk to SLB
- Preparing and delivering trainings relating to the above risk areas

**What you’ll bring.**
- Excellent Conduct and/or Investigation Subject Matter Expertise and experience in internal or external investigations
- A thorough understanding of Risk Frameworks and must have a Risk mind-set to identify and evaluate risks across Global Banking and Markets businesses

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Previous experience in managing and developing a team
- Extensive knowledge of FCA Code of Conduct Rules and understanding of the regulatory agenda pertaining to Conduct and Culture
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with good communication, both written and verbal, and ability to make decisions and influence others at all levels
