**Annual Salary**:
£35,000 to £40,000
**Role definition**:
To design injection mould tool design for internal manufacture and oversea external tooling design, advise customers on designing components suitable for the plastic injection moulding process and ensure suitability for tooling manufacture.
**Key areas of responsibility**:

- To support sales with design/tooling queries and to provide technical support at customer meetings
- To assist in obtaining and reviewing new tool quotations
- To quote new tooling and modifications for Tool room in conjunction with Tool room management
- To design,asess in house or manage sub-contract tool design manufacturing
- To support tooling engineers with technical information
- To support N.P.I. with design and technical advice on tooling issues or customer queries
- To support TPM Team with tooling information
- Maintaining company objectives on quality, delivery and environmental policies
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes and machine inputs/outputs

**General Responsibilities & duties**:

- Adhere to company NPI processes
- Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same
- Must have a full UK driving licence (Occasional requirement to visit customer/supplier sites)

**Required education, skills, training and experience**:

- Good level of English and Maths
- Apprentice trained or HNC qualified in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- Tool design experience within the plastic injection mould
- Experience in reading 2D & 3D mould designs using CAD systems
- Design experience of complex moulding tools i.e. hot runners, insert tooling etc.
- A good understanding of moulding processes and a wide range of polymers
- Attitude to progress knowledge and skill within the role by attending training courses etc.

**Experience Required**:
Have at least 3 years' experience as a plastic injection mould tool designer 5+ years' experience as a plastic injection mould tool designer
