**About the role** Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a **Compliance and Technical Administrator** to join our Regional Civil Engineering business unit to work on the Carlisle Northern Development Route highway maintenance contract, based in **Dalston, Cumbria.** **What you'll be doing** As a **Compliance and Technical Administrator**, your main responsibilities are as follows: - Take ownership of monitoring and updating contract quality documents - Take ownership of monitoring and updating contract policy documents - Monitor policy/process template changes in the BMS and update documents accordingly - Attend Programme and Liasion meetings - Take ownership of monitoring and maintaining the training matrix - Assist the Operations team in reviewing, inputting and monitoring defects - Assist in the delivery of the contract social value strategy - Record activities and update the social value portal - Monitor and record Tool box talks and Zero Harm events - Assist in the implementation and close out of "My Contribution" ideas and Zero Harm interventions **Who we're looking for** The following qualities and experience are essential: - Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes; - Strong work ethic and ability to prioritise tasks; - Able to work on own initiative; - Must be a good team player, with strong communication and interpersonal skills; - Understands the basic Company Protocols; - Uncompromising approach to the implementation of H&S; - Understands the relevant Business Management System and implements systems and processes; - Fosters a culture of Right First Time; - Understanding of quality and auditing processes; - Good working knowledge of MS Office programmes The following qualities and experience are desirable: - Experienced in quality and auditing processes; - Experience of asset management; - Proven experience of working to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise and multi-task. **Why work for us** Day in, day out, our teams deliver amazing projects in challenging conditions; developing, managing and maintaining the vital infrastructure and public spaces that modern economies, societies and communities rely on. **About us** The way we live our lives is changing fast: where and how we live, work, travel, shop, relax and socialise.
