Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and motivated administrator to support the Radiology department reporting workflow. We have a large department within New Cross Hospital and we have recently developed a Community Diagnostic Hub at Cannock Chase Hospital.

of this role is to help manage the reporting and vetting workflow with the other members of the Clinical Tracker Team working closely with the health care professionals of all grades.

To improve the efficiency of the reporting system in Radiology
Facilitate the allocation of scan reports to radiologists.

To follow up the progress of any reports to ensure the report is ready for clinics and Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.

To assist the medical secretaries in general office duties.

Support the team leaders within Radiology with Governance issues.

To manage the volume of outstanding reporting and vetting within Radiology.

To allocate work to each radiologist on a regular basis.

To liaise with the Radiology Office Manager and Clinical Tracker Team when there are issues.

To track the requests through the system to ensure they are processed from start to finish in a timely manner.

To check when the patient is due back in clinic to ensure the report is completed before that date.

Provide administrative support for the team leaders and secretaries when required.

Deal with persistent interruptions of concentration i.e urgent demands from clinical teams or telephone calls.

Observe absolute patient confidentiality.

Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grading and nature of the post as required by the Radiology Office Manager.

The post holder must maintain own mandatory training, knowledge and skills to deliver role requirements.

To maintain the standards and policies of the trust, in particular those relating to patient confidentiality and data protection.
