**Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking a Stores Assistant to join a busy team based at our Head Office based in Bamber Bridge, Preston.**

**Location**:Bamber Bridge, Preston

**Hours of work**: 47.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm) with an unpaid 30 minute break.

**Salary**:£30242

**About the role**:
As a part of the Stores Team based at our Head Office in Bamber Bridge, you will be helping to provide support to the various Work Teams operating out the busy yard.

You will need to have a great work ethic, problem solving skills and be able to work independently or with Team members to meet daily deadlines.

You may need to work outside in the yard area as well as inside the warehouse.

**Responsibilities to include - but not limited to**:

- Accepting deliveries and reporting any supplier discrepancies.
- Competent in using hand held device to receive requests and preparing job packs for collection by Teams.
- Hands on - manually handling materials and ensuring they are stored correctly.
- Regular stock counts of materials.
- Create requests for orders to be raised for stock replenishment.
- General administration duties for data collation
- Excellent housekeeping, whilst adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures.

**Experience and qualifications required for the role**:

- Experience in working in a stores environment or similar for example warehouse
- Competent in IT, accurate data entry
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Team player
- Ability to work to deadlines, and be reactive to the business needs
