Teaching Assistant
All staff working in the education sector appreciate that every child develops differently. It's absolutely vital that we understand and acknowledge that every child requires different support in order to succeed in their education and life. With that being said, teachers are under a lot of pressure to provide personalised teaching to suit the needs of every child, therefore are in need of their own heroes. This is where teaching assistants come to the rescue
- 'Behind a good teacher is a great teaching assistant'_
Teaching assistants have the joy to be able to support those that need additional help and guidance in whatever field that may be, starting from working on counting, mark making, or even reading skills. You will be the one to provide the extra support that the child needs in order to develop and grow, and you get to be the one to see them succeed
As a teaching assistant you also get to assist the teacher with the planning of the future lessons without the need or responsibility of doing any paperwork that the teacher is responsible for. You get to share the ideas, observations and input before implementing it with the teacher You get to work closely with the teacher and gain the essential experience and knowledge of what it takes to be able to lead a class of children - which you may use in the future if you're pursuing a teaching qualification Having worked with children in smaller group you will be able to learn so much about them in order to provide the essential knowledge or observation that the teacher may simply not be able to see themselves Team work makes the dream work after all
Another amazing advantage of working as a teaching assistant is that you actually get to build that close and safe relationship with the children that they desperately need in order for their learning and development to be enabled. You will be the one to comfort them when they're upset or the one that supports them when they're not able to solve a disagreement with their peers.
Most importantly, teaching assistants can make the learning FUN It is YOUR job to work with the teacher to make activities fun and enjoyable to help the children achieve their best potential
Working as a teaching assistant on a supply basis lets you enjoy all the benefits of working as a TA with the addition of the flexibility of choosing when you work. You are the one that decides the days that you are available for work You also get the experience of trying out different schools and different age groups, and if you find the one you love, there may always be an option for a permanent or long-term role
In order to join Textbook Teachers on our exciting adventure of matching the right TA's to the right schools, you do not need to be qualified. We are looking for individuals with some experience in the childcare or care sector who are of a nurturing and caring nature. We want to see someone who loves working with children and is passionate about making a change in their lives. We love to see individuals who take working with children seriously and are patient and friendly. Our hours are within 8:30-3:30 and can range from full-time to part-time basis as mentioned before, you get to choose the days you work, can it get better than this?
Yes it can We are able to offer pay starting from £75 per day ending on £100 per day, depending on your experience and qualifications With that being said, you also get the joy of being taken care of our lovely consultants who will always be there for you to support you through the clearance and placement process.
