An opportunity has risen for a dietitian to support the upper gastrointestinal (UGI) oncology team in the dietetic department at NUH.

Are you a dietitian keen to expand your clinical experience in UGI oncology within both the oncology and surgical parts of the pathway? Do you have a passion for improving patient outcomes with the best nutritional care? If so, we have 0.5 WTE band 6, permanent post has become available as part of our team at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust.. You will become an integral member of our supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred dietetic care.

We are a large and friendly department of around 140 staff providing dietetic and nutrition support across all areas of the Trust and beyond. The Service has excellent IT facilities and a dedicated group of non-registered staff who help provide dietetic support. Support would be available from dietitians working in other specialities provided from both Campus, including gastroenterology, critical care, burns, cardiac, renal, CF, other areas of oncology (including head and neck) and haematology.

We are committed to continuing professional development for all our staff through a range of opportunities that include recognised training courses, involvement in service development and audit. We have close links with the University of Nottingham, and take student dietitians for their placements.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
You should have experience of working as a Dietitian. You will need to have excellent communication and leadership skills, a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload and that of other members of staff within a supportive team. You will work alongside dietitians as well as dietetic technicians and a dietetic assistant. We expect you to be enthusiastic, motivated and keen to develop your own skills and those of others. Experience of nutritional support is essential. Additional training will be provided.

As part of this role it is essential that you will be able to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) accordingly to national and local guidance.

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
