**About you**:
Essential
- Good communication skills able to extract detail and evidence requested from potential/suppliers.
- Understanding of the Customer Journey and how to continually improve service as a key differentiator in the marketplace.
- An understanding of relationship management and networking skills and experience, required for both key stakeholder and supplier engagement
- A willingness to learn and develop your commercial skills.
- An ability to develop good negotiation skill set and ‘selling’ capability
- An ability to deliver at pace and drive change
- Good attention to detail and capability to assess and mitigate relationship issues and commercial risk.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to plan, prioritise and deliver work to timescales.
- A good level of PC literacy across the Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
- Knowledge of commercial models and approach/techniques necessary to achieve strong sourcing deals.
- Commitment to study towards CIPS qualification
- Previous experience in a Procurement support role
- Previous experience in a Financial Services Environment
- Previous Project Management experience
**Details**:
At the direction of the Senior Contract Manager you will be responsible for supporting contract negotiations and contract renewals to maximise value and innovation whilst minimising risk. In addition you will prepare tender documents under the direction of senior colleagues, ensuring that all market research/analytics have been completed prior to these being issued to the marketplace.
- Responsible for tactical contract reviews and commercial activity, utilising the Third Party Management Framework (TPMF) including developing, issuing, and scoring tender responses from suppliers as required to ensure LV= secures value in the marketplace.
- Engaging proactively with LV= stakeholders to ensure best value solutions and all relevant legal/regulatory/technical requirements are included in our requirements to the market and subsequently embedded in our contract with the successful supplier
- Prepare for sign off, tender documents, ensuring that all marketplace assessments have been completed and the intelligence gained factored into the document.
- Manage the creation of Contract approvals and related document, correctly aligned to the spend categories and nominal ledger codes
- Work collaboratively with the Senior team members and Ops team to maximise throughput of activity through the TPMF and capacity planning, ensuring quality focused results are produced.
- Leverage the use of existing goods/services on the Preferred Supplier Lists, ensuring demand is challenged and then matched to existing product that LV= has within its inventory before any steps are taken to go to market.
- Ensure that the above delivers end-to-end commercial, contractual and relationship lifecycle value, specifically ensuring that:
- Developing optimum routes to market based on business requirements.
- Understand cost drivers and value levers when formulating specifications, ensuring the value levers are fully understood and a central part of Procurement activity.
- Ensure compliance with the Third Party Management Framework at all times.
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and supply chain risk, ensuring effective Due Diligence is completed in line with the TPMF with appropriate evidence effectively stored post contract signature.
