Teaching Personnel are requiring a SEN Teaching Assistant with the experience and the ability children with special educational needs (SEN).We're currently requiring someone for a role at one of our Secondary schools in East Hull, who will provide supportfor an individual with Autism. This role will begin Mid October and carry on until the Christmas holidays. In addition there's a high likelihood this role will continue for the full academic year. This is a Full time Monday to Friday position, working typically8:30-3:30 each day. Whilst individuals with experience supporting individuals with SEN in the classroom is desirable, those with previous care and support experience and who have the transferable skills required for the role will be considered.
In addition to this specific role, we work alongside multiple SEN schools in and around Hull, so looking toward the future there will be significant opportunity for work so if you're looking to step into education this could be a fantastic opportunity to begina new career. The responsibility of a Teaching Assistant, under the general supervision and direction of the teacher, is to plan and implement learning activities for individuals and groups. To monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacherand establish supportive and constructive relationships with pupil's parents and carers.

Required Skills:

- Proactive member of staff able to think on their feet
- Experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs.
- Work well in a team
- Behaviour management skills
- Previous experience in Care, Support, youth work, sports coaching, or intervention work
