Nationally it has been recognised that mental health rehabilitation is an area that has often been overlooked for investment and modernisation.

The CRT is part of the Complex Care Service that supports people who have chronic and disabling mental health problems that may be treatment resistant and who have previously spent long periods in hospital.

We currently provide a community rehab team in the East and one in the West of the county as well as 2 inpatient rehab units, and two Assertive Outreach Teams, again one east one west who all work very closely together.

The CRT West team is based at Forston Clinic in Dorchester, there is an element of homeworking factored into this team and as such all staff will be provided with appropriate IT equipment.

The post holder will manage a multi-disciplinary team that includes Mental Health Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychology Assistants, Support Time Recovery Workers, Admin Assistants, Nurse Consultants and Medical Staffing.

This posts working between the hours of Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00, flexibility will be considered.

To provide Clinical Leadership for the Community Rehabilitation

Team and be responsible for the successful and effective partnership working with inpatient staff and community staff.

Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality person centred services with a focus on integrated care which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.

Day-to-day management and leadership of a clinical team

To act as a champion for clinical standards and for continuous improvement in the patient experience.

To ensure the delivery of up to date evidence based practice.
