Line Cook

The Dibbinsdale Inn is a 4* hotel with an award winning Italian 'Pesto' restaurant, serving fresh Piatini 7 days a week. We are Wirral Life Bronze Award Winning hotel and restaurant. We are looking for people to join our kitchen team who are passionate about food and sticklers for the best standards. Join us as a Chef and we can offer you a hourly rate of up to £13.70 per hour including TRONC.

This role is across 5 days and approximately 35 hours per week the amount of hours will negate the salary.This role also includes TRONC which is at a rate of 40% of total weekly tip takings. We require flexibility to meet shift patterns and own transport is preferred as you maybe required to be on site from 6.30am (breakfast) or until late to closedown after service (10.30pm).

**CHEF**

It is the responsibility of all chefs to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen whilst on your shift. You must ensure at all times that food is stored, prepared, cooked and served to company standards. You must also follow the kitchen opening and closing procedures thoroughly, and carry out daily and weekly cleaning tasks in the kitchen and storage areas on an on-going basis.

**All chefs are responsible for the whole kitchen, not just the section they are working on. They will work as and where required.**

**FOOD PREPARATION**
- Preparation of all ingredients to the correct company specification.
- Preparation of food to order in the required time limits with constant quality and to correct specifications.
- Responsible for making sure all sections in the kitchen are stocked with prepared items before and during your shift.

**FOOD STORAGE**
- Make sure that all delivery items are inspected for quantity, quality and use-by date, and that they are put away correctly. Inform the manager of any problems.
- Always follow strict stock rotation methods.
- Date label all food items, as appropriate.
- Ensure that temperature checks are completed accurately.

**FOOD COOKING**
- Always ensure food is cooked thoroughly, to a core temperature of 82’c or above.
- If any food is going to be served hot, but not immediately, it must be held above 63’c.

**CLEANING**
- Cleaning must be carried out on a daily basis, and all cleaning schedules and opening or closing procedures must be strictly adhered to.
- Ensure that you maintain the cleanliness and appearance of your uniform at all times.
- To undertake other duties as required

As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and cooking, ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence and food safety. Reporting to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, you will utilize your core skills in food preparation and hospitality to create memorable dining experiences. Your leadership and team management abilities will be essential in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining efficient kitchen operations. With your restaurant experience and culinary expertise, you will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional quality and service to our guests.
