Monday - Friday 9am-5pm (office-based role) Location - Manchester 12 Weeks temporary assignment with possible extension £10.89 per hour The Clerical/Admin Officer will provide administrative support. There also assigned to carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases or provide support to other functions within public sector. Continuous improvement tools and techniques are used in public sector and so there will be opportunities to exercise discretion and initiative and continually seek to improve, within a framework of systems and processes. They will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgement in carrying out instructions, under general supervision. No technical knowledge is required beyond the basics of how to use a Windows PC with each task scripted. Anything that happens outside the script should be escalated to one of the on-site engineers. Key Responsibilities " Move laptops around buildings. " Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report. " Overseeing administrative procedures and processes. " Unbox equipment and distribute to users (laptop, charger & hubs). " Assist users in getting up and running (guide sheet provided): ¢ connecting to wired/wireless network ¢ ensuring power to device ¢ pre-migration checks (scripted) e.g. favs backed up, OneDrive synced ¢ supporting users through autopilot enrolment steps ¢ Post enrolment checks (scripted) e.g. mapping file shares, checking VPN, CMS ¢ Escalate issues or unexpected behaviour to onsite engineer " Sort and remove waste " Box up & label devices to be returned to ACS
