**Digital Strategist**

Our client are looking for a talented digital strategist, ideally with a background in business analysis or project management to support key strategic and cross-charity digital initiatives under the charity’s North Star strategy and to take a holistic approachto our client’s digital front-end.

Reporting into the Associate Director of Digital, this role will support the digital team to solve a wide range of strategic problems, from the ongoing development of the digital centre of excellence, to building governance frameworks, reporting, respondingto compliance audits, assisting with the development of good processes and building a closer understanding of the needs of our audiences. The Digital Strategist will need to facilitate workshops, deliver strong presentations and be able to create robust meetingand session notes and reports.

**Accountabilities (Duties & Responsibilities)**

The main elements of the role comprise the following.
- **Digital strategy**: Working closely with the Associate Director of Digital, the Digital Manager and the Head of Digital Innovation, support the development and roll-out of the organizational digital vision and strategy. Get under the skinof the needs of the organization and its audiences; take a holistic view of all our user-facing digital estate, ensuring outcomes are aligned to the North Star and driven by data and support cycles of continuous improvement. Use your communication skills tosocialize and embed this around the charity, lead workshops with confidence and gravitas and create inspiring presentations and information posts.
- **Digital excellence**: Support the digital team to deliver ongoing work around best practice, governance and good processes as we become a digital centre of excellence. Develop excellent reporting against KPIs and outcomes, using your analyticalskills to understand new opportunities and to ensure projects deliver value for the charity. Respond to compliance and security audits, ensuring documentation is complete and up-to-date. Research latest tools and technology in support of projects, collaboratewith colleagues in the Technology team as well as those in Caring Services, Comms, Fundraising and Policy to embed best practices.
- **Audience focus**: Support internal work to ensure audience outcomes are aligned to the Northstar, ensuring clarity for audience outcomes on our website. Gather data and where needed, commission external insight, collaborate with internalexperts and audience owners to build digital personas. Communicate with stakeholders about how this impacts the charity’s digital tools and services
- **Project work**: Support innovation for key cross-cutting digital projects within the charity, providing support with documentation, processes and audience insight. Going through procurement and compliance procedures, engage new external partners,where appropriate, to ensure smooth delivery. Support the development of business cases and lead discovery workshops.

**Desirable**
- Experience developing audience personas
- Practical, hands-on UX experience
- Experience in data analysis and business insight teams

**Experience**
- At least 5 years working in digital teams and environments
- Experience defining good user experience in a digital environment
- Development and implementation of strategy at a mid-senior level
- Commissioning and interpreting of audience insight, preferably in the health sector
- Business Analysis experience either in a BA role or as part of a strategic role
- Development of online personas and audience journeys
- Building digital reports
- Achieving outcomes
- Has worked in complex, stakeholder and matrix management environments

**Desirable**
- Good track record in a leadership role
- Experience working in the charity sector - health or end-of-life a bonus.
- Experience developing an understanding audience needs in the health sector
