**How you’ll help us succeed**

The Social Media Specialist’s role is to implement the social media strategy,

utilising owned and paid Social Media channels to raise brand awareness, drive inbound traffic and

generate new business leads for Kaplan UK.

Leading a small team, you’ll be making sure we’re leading the way on social. From creating assets, to

community management and making data-led decisions, you’ll be an integral part of the digital

marketing team, who can really have an impact on how we engage and inform our audiences on social

media.

Channel management and content strategy
- Management of Kaplan UK’s social media channels on but not limited to Facebook,

LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube.
- Organisation and execution of social media strategy, plans and campaigns.
- Input into the overall marketing plans and strategy, to suggest where social media should be

utilised to help achieve overall marketing KPIs.
- Creation of social media first assets (statics and videos) for social media channels and

copywriting for post captions.
- Content and campaign planning in accordance with key industry and marketing dates.
- Scheduling of posts on all channels and community management.

Reporting and optimisation
- Conduct a weekly competitor analysis report to inform ongoing strategy.
- Optimise existing content to ensure it remains relevant and on brand.
- Prepare and deliver monthly KPI reports across the channel.
- Continuously stay on top of social media trends and improve results by looking at analytics

and post performance.

Relationships and stakeholder management
- To establish and develop key relationships across the business with particular focus on

Digital, UX, Design and IT teams.
- Collaborate with other departments (Student Support, Product etc) to ensure messaging and

content are aligned.
- Maintain a close relationship with channel managers to ensure that content is being used

efficiently across all channel activity.
- Manage one direct report across B2B and B2C sectors.

You’ll also carry out other duties, within the broad scope and spirit of your role, as requested by your

manager. Our business is continuously evolving, so your job description will evolve too.

**What you’ll bring**

with experience across content creation and management of social media channels, with an analytical

approach to ensure content is created to drive results in line with business objectives.
- A genuine passion for social media marketing and content creation, keeping up to date with

industry and wider social trends.
- Excellent copywriting and content creation skills (Canva/Photoshop).
- Strong organisation and project management skills to oversee the delivery of BAU and

campaign activity.
- Ability to conduct competitor analysis and create monthly reports and use data to inform

ongoing content strategy.
- Understanding of organic and paid social and how these work together to achieve wider

business objectives.
- Experience of creating and engaging with online communities.
- Ability to curate content plans and schedules and schedule these onto third party platforms.
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
- A keen eye for detail and ability to understand tone of voice and brand guidelines.
