Why work with us:
You will be at the heart of the story telling of DS Smith’s new chapter in innovation. You will be responsible all visual communication for the team’s new blue sky opportunities, concepts, final solutions and new business models.

You will tell this story using varies formats from high quality sketches to photo-realistic renders, packaging artwork, story-boards, animations, PowerPoint, process diagrams and user interfaces etc.

You will the freedom, intuition and creative licence to convey the ideas in the best medium.

What you will do:
- Sketchwork - quickly hand render concepts either for presentation or to aid the ideation process in creative workshops- Story telling - visually convey complex processes or details in a story-board format, or whatever style is appropriate to the audience- Concept Renders - create high quality visual representations of concepts / systems / machinery as final solutions, as well as conveying the evolution of those concepts throughout the development process- Animations - design and create new animation to help convey complex processes, pieces of equipment or the functions of prototypes (currently the team uses Cinema 4D for this)-
- UX interfaces - create visual representations of platform interfaces in order to convey potential features / layouts- CAD Design - create drawings and 3D models of packing concepts using ARTIOS CAD (training can be provided)- Be part of the creativity - be part of the creative team and contribute to the ideation pipeline as well as helping to form and develop solutions, before then taking on the responsibility of visually communicating them to the rest of the team and the wider business.

About you:
- Must be curious- Must be passionate for Creative Design- Degree qualification in Creative arts, Product design, Illustration, Graphic Design or similar.- Excelling hand-rendering / sketching & doodling skills-
- Experience of 3d modelling and rendering software (ideally Cinema 4D)- Highly proficient in Adobe creative suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and After Affects- Basic CAD knowledge (ideally Artios CAD but not essential)- Has great attention to detail, takes a lot of care in their work- Independently able to use own initiative and creative license in their interpretation of briefs given without the need to be directed at every stage of development- Self-driven - thrives in an autonomous environment- Understands that “what to do” is just as important as “how to do it”- Ability to deliver in a fast-paced creative environment- Able to share a portfolio of work to demonstrate creative flair, skillset and show examples of projects worked on previously
