**Job Overview**

From silent discos to candlelit concerts, plays, music shows, banquets and more, Hull Minster has a year round calendar of exciting events.

We are seeking enthusiastic Event Staff to join our team for various events throughout the year, particularly in the run up to Christmas. As Casual Event Staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of events and providing excellent customer service to attendees. From setting up staging, working on the bar, planning events or taking tours, Hull Minster has a wide variety of events and a constant need for support to keep them running smoothly.

We are looking to grow our events offering and so have many areas of need, meaning we can find work that suits you and opportunities to get more involved behind the scenes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Setting up event spaces including arranging furniture and decorations
- Assisting with guest registration and check-in processes
- Providing information to attendees and directing them to different areas within the event venue
- Serving drinks behind the bar for large scale events in the Nave or intimate events in our cafe.
- Serving food and coffee prepared by our kitchen (potential shifts within our cafe, Trinity Room, could also be available)
- Supporting event organisers with various tasks as required
- Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the event space throughout the event
- Assisting with packing down and clearing the event space post-event

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks as needed
- Previous experience in events or customer service is advantageous

**Working Pattern**

This is a casual position, meaning you can work as much or as little as you like. We will notify you of upcomping events and our requirements, so all you need to do is let us know if you want to work them. Full onboarding and training will be given.

**Pay**

The role is paid at £12 p/h plus holiday pay, equalling £13.44 p/h.

**Application process**

Expected hours: 1 - 25 per week
