**About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team based in Brackley, on a Fixed Term basis basis.
**Purpose of the role**
As a Payroll Administrator you will provide excellent, customer focused payroll function in support of the strategic objectives of the shared service department to deliver key performance indicators as per the service level agreement with the participatory sites. We currently payroll 6500 employees, a mixture of monthly and weekly paid employees.
**Main Responsibilities of a Payroll Administrator**:
- Ensure that all employee salaries, wages, allowances and deductions are accurately processed
- Processing of new starters, leavers and changes to pay each pay period
- Understand and calculate statutory payments, SSP, SMP, SPP,ShPP
- Maintain excellent relationships with 3rd party service providers
- Monitor and assess expense claims for legitimacy and accuracy, reject claims where necessary and keep a record of those rejected
- Answer and resolve any payroll queries
- Liaise with pension providers with regard to employee pension entitlements
**What we are looking for**
You will be an experienced Payroll Administrator and be confident in working with a complex payroll and pension system in a large organisation. It is essential that you are able to deal with confidential information in line with current legislation and have a basic knowledge of payroll, tax, pension and employment law.
You will need to have good verbal communication skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with good numeracy skills. Ability to demonstrate continuous professional development and to contribute to continuous service improvement
