Dispatch Lead

Finer By Nature are a leading raw dog food producer based at Whitestone Business Park Hereford. We are looking for a very capable person to take on the dispatch of all our raw product that goes via courier on a daily basis.

This role is physically demanding and would suit someone with a strong work ethic and who enjoys a challenge both physically and mentally.

The role itself involves picking orders, packing and ensuring they are dispatched to the correct destination via courier in a timely fashion.

Alongside the physical element of the role there is also a paperwork side that involves processing invoices/orders, contacting customers to discuss and resolve out of stock items and replacements, use of inventory software and more

Being a team player is vital

Whilst dispatch is a busy place at times we need help in other areas and you'll be called upon to help as needed but primarily asked to work with our production team. That could involve helping to produce product, loading pallets and so on. Your initial period in the role will be working with this team as part of your training.

- Flexibility in day-to-day workload

- Very good communication skills both written and verbal
- Computer literate, any experience in inventory software an advantage.
- Great attitude
- Strong team player
- Forklift licence useful
- Experience of pallet truck

In return
- basic wage of £9.50 per hour - 40-hour week - reviewed after probation
- Bonus scheme based on weight shipped per week, maximum paid to date £240 per week (£620 per week or £15.50 equivalent)
- Paid 30-minute break each day included in the 40-hour week
- Full training including the job role itself plus other mandatory training such as Heath and Safety, Manual Handling, Food hygiene etc.
