**Job Role**: Freight Forwarder / Freight Forwarding

**Location**: Dover, Kent

**Salary**: £18,000 - £28,000 p/a, negotiable dependant on experience + Benefits (Listed below)

**Position**: Full-Time / Permanent

**Hours**: 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday

**About Active Transport**

From humble beginnings in 2000, our company has grown to become the road cargo transport and logistics solution of choice for many forwarding companies and suppliers alike looking for a reliable carrier.

Our company headquarters are based in Dover, UK. This perfectly positions us for shipping allowing us to make the best use of our equipment: 14 drivers and 6 office staff are employed full-time at the Dover depot.

**Main responsibilities of a Freight Forwarder / Freight Forwarding**:

- Planning and arranging collections and deliveries - Logistics
- Obtaining the necessary paperwork, Bill of ladings etc
- Admin / Administration support to all parties
- Data input / Data entry and general admin

**Skills and qualities**:

- Previous experience in the Freight forwarding
- Knowledge of customs declarations in freight forwarding/logistics is an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure (deadlines), independently and within a team
- Attention to detail, competent in Microsoft, Outlook, and ability to learn new procedures
- Be driven and self-motivated

**Essential Experience**

We are looking for someone who has experience as a Freight Forwarder / within this field.
