Clinical Education and Training Practitioner

The purpose of the Clinical Education and Training Practitioner role is to support the Clinical Education and Training team in the delivery of manual handling and basic life support as part of essential training to all grades of staff.
To support the Clinical Education and Training Matron in the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical skills programmes to meet service priorities and improve quality standards.
To assist in the effective day-to day co-ordination of all aspects of the Clinical Skills Lab, ensuring effective use of resources including ordering, purchasing and maintenance of equipment.
To support the Clinical Education and Training team with the delivery of Moving and Handling sessions on essential training, the Care Certificate and the Royal Way Induction Programme. These may be delivered in the classroom, in clinical areas or as part of insitu simulation scenarios
To support the Clinical Education and Training facilitators in the delivery and planning of the clinical skills/resuscitation sessions
To ensure that classrooms are set up timely and effectively with the appropriate equipment in order to deliver the taught sessions.
To ensure effective use of the department resources, including the ordering, purchasing and maintenance of equipment.
To plan room bookings and future training dates.
To support the Clinical Education and Training team in the data collection with on-going audit projects - moving and handling equipment, NCAA, Trolley and ReSPECT audits
