A Vacancy at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The Undergraduate Medical Education Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital is looking to appoint an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Senior Education Fellow for a fixed term of 12 months, with the potential for further extension. The role is specifically designed to support clinicians who wish to demonstrate a commitment to education as part of their career vision and training journey. It provides the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised education qualification. Applications are welcome from interested candidates across the seniority spectrum. The minimum requirement is 2 years O&G clinical experience within the NHS post‑foundation years (completion of ST2 or equivalent). In this role you will join a team of five other clinical fellows in medical and surgical specialties and support the delivery of teaching to medical students from Nottingham and Sheffield Universities. A funded qualification in medical education with one day a week of protected study time will aid professional development in delivering teaching across a range of modalities – from theoretical classroom teaching to bedside teaching and immersive simulation. Clinical skills will be maintained with one day a week of clinical work appropriate to trainee experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology under a named clinical supervisor.
