Technical Supervisor

**Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum**
**About the Role**:
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Technical Supervisor to lead our technical/quality assurance team. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will have a real chance to make your mark, building your role as the company grows, with opportunities to deliver significant operational projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and coordinate the technical/quality team to ensure all standards and procedures are followed and completed efficiently
- Managing the day to day quality management system and supporting the operational teams ensuring that all standards and procedures are followed
- Developing, maintaining and implementing company quality and food safety systems in line with all business developments and customer standards
- Organising the internal audit system
- Generating quality standards within the factory; packing; quality contracts and QAS
- Compiling data analysis and trending of microbiological results and customer complaints
- Managing the supplier approval system and supplier auditing including vulnerability risk assessment
- Assisting with customer & external audits and leading audits in the absence of the Technical Manager
- Assisting in the New Product Development process when required
- Ensuring all technical testing matrix’s are kept up to date and when necessary, changed according to the risk
- HACCP and TACCP/VACCP/Food safety team member
**Skills & Knowledge**
You must be an experienced Quality/Technical Assurance professional with a drive and passion for delivering quality and have relevant experience gained within the FMCG sector. In addition, you should have:
- Experience in managing a small team and possess good leadership and coaching skills
- Have the ability to deliver clear communication and develop good working relationships with the other departments in the company
- Have the ability to change priorities quickly, as per department/company needs
- Experience of supplying major UK retailers and have a good track record of having delivered a high standard of service
- Experience working in FMCG is essential
