We are partnered with a leading global environmental design consultancy who are currently seeking an experienced sustainability professional to join their Manchester office as the Head of Sustainability.

Our client is dedicated to creating sustainable and resilient solutions across the built environment and have been involved in some of the worlds most exciting and innovative projects.

As the Head of Sustainability, you will play a pivotal role in leading and advancing their sustainability initiatives, influencing design strategies, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility within the organisation.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team of sustainability consultants, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with our clients values and objectives.
- Engage with clients to understand their sustainability goals, and provide strategic advice and solutions to achieve those objectives.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainable design principles into architectural, engineering, and planning projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the sustainability field.
- Conduct sustainability assessments, performance evaluations, and lifecycle analyses for projects across various sectors.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and forums, actively participating in thought leadership discussions and showcasing the company's expertise in sustainability.

**Requirements**:

- Degree qualified in a relevant field (e.g., Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering).
- 10+ years industry experience.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a sustainability / building services consultancy.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in sustainability topics such as embodied carbon, NABERS UK, BREEAM, etc.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
