Buying Admin Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join our team has arisen; we are looking to recruit a Buying Admin Assistant to support all daily tasks within the Buying department. The position is full-time at our **Northumberland HQ**.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Maintaining the critical path by working with the Tech department, to ensure key dates are met and outlying potential slippage in weekly critical path meeting
- Liaise with suppliers on ensuring proto and fit samples are chased, in-line with the above
- Manage a library of lab dip and strike off approvals (again, in-line with critical path dates)
- Working daily with overseas suppliers and building strong trustworthy relationships
- Raising and amending Purchase Orders
- Create PO overviews to share with the wider business
- Assist with preparing product for sign off meetings
- Ensuring smooth running of the department, and assisting the Junior Buyer with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Sample Management - ensuring all samples are organised for the Tech department, including sign off meetings, rack ups and if required for photo shoot campaigns.
- Market Analysis support - undertaking weekly comparative shopping/bench-marking reports.
- Chase new supplier forms and supplier manuals ahead of new seasons.
- Adhoc administrative duties as and when required
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Fashion Business, Buying/Merchandising or similar
- Buying placement/internship experience
- Highly organised
- Adobe Illustrator experience preferred (but not essential)
- Analytical mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Confident in Microsoft Office (Excel and Powerpoint), and experience with Microsoft Outlook
- Keen interest in product, production, and a desire to learn about the brand and customer.
