As a **Transport Coordinator** you'll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food.

**What will you do & what will you need**

As part of your role you will brief and debrief Drivers, being the first point of contact for all drivers and ensuring all queries are fed back to. Be accountable for Legal o-license compliance and for Operational excellence ie cost and service including Peak planning/delivery. Provide the highest level of customer care and finding resolutions/ escalation of live issues. The monitoring of all routes ensuring all routes are running on time and escalating to the Team Manager on shift where appropriate. Effective time management to ensure the job is completed within the set time frame provided using Kronos exceptions & Schedules. Conduct Daily administration tasks in relation to payroll systems, payroll queries holidays etc.

Ideally, you will have experience of administration in a busy transport environment, be PC literate with word and excel experience and have great attention to detail.

Gist Bedworth is Marks & Spencer (M&S) Food’s only frozen UK depot and is operated in partnership with XPO Logistics. The site opened in 1994 with XPO managing the warehouse pick operation. In 2010, Gist took on management of the transport operation. The site also services other non-M&S customers, as operated by XPO Logistics. The site receives and stores products from circa 70 suppliers, with products ranging from frozen chips to croissants. The product range also covers those used in M&S’s in-store bakery. Gist undertakes the planning and trunking of M&S Food frozen products into our nine dedicated M&S Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) across the UK and Ireland. The frozen product is then cross-docked at our M&S RDCs and delivered to store via our secondary depots transport network. Product temperature integrity is key, with stock kept within a temperature range of -18 to -25 degrees at all times in storage and transit.

Gist Bedworth also delivers direct to circa 170 stores across central England.

Peak periods for the depot include summer, school holidays and Christmas, as well as M&S promotional events and product launches throughout the year.
