Head of Trade Sales l Manchester l Retail l £60,000
**Job Overview**:
Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a health Retail business based in Manchester in finding their Head of Trade Sales. The role will be responsible for delivering a profitable sales growth in the UK territory, as well managing a team of 3 Sales Managersand having a direct responsibility for all UK Trade accounts that hold a strategic importance. The role will work closely alongside the company’s internal product development, sourcing and supply chain teams in order to ensure that the product range is thebest in class within the UK health sector. The primary KPIs will be to maximise revenue and margin growth through building stronger partnerships with existing UK customers, whilst acquiring new UK customers through a proactive development strategy.
**Salary**: £60,000
**Location**: Manchester
**Main Duties**:
- To lead the UK Trade sales team in driving profitable revenue growth.
- Increasing the Trade divisions profitability by increasing the product margins through an improved market awareness, commerciality and supporting the procurement team in reducing costs and increasing efficiencies.
- Working closely with existing strategic customers in order to better understand their requirements and to build true long-term partnerships.
- To manage and develop the existing team of 3 Sales Managers.
- Identifying and recruiting new members into the Sales team to support revenue development.
- To develop, implement and maximise an online ordering platform to increase efficiencies, boost revenue, and increase AOV.
- Working closely with the external marketing team to drive revenue through marketing activity and an increased ROI.
- Managing and reviewing the business’ performance and objectives.
- To work closely with the company’s personnel including, but not limited to, product development, operations and finance.
**Person Specification**:
- 5+ years of experience within a VMS Sales role.
- A career background in Sales and/or Business Development.
- A strong knowledge of the VMS industry.
- Proficient experience of leading and thriving in a high-growth, sales-focused business.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- An ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, senior management or other teams within the company.
- To be commercially astute and ambitious, possessing a drive for success and responsibility.
- Strong skills in strategy and negotiation when making sound commercial decisions.
- A resourceful, inventive and self-confident nature.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.
