Finance Assistant

**Overview**:
The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager and will assist with the management of the company’s daily financial operations and reporting, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and fixedassets. The position will also be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager with the preparation of year-end audits and other ad-hoc duties.
The role is office based in Fleet, part time c. 25 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9am - 2.30pm, with 30 minutes for lunch.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Intercompany invoicing
- Supplier invoice processing support and reconciliations
- Posting purchase and sales invoices
- Process payments to suppliers
- Bank entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Support Monthly ECSL & Intrastat submission for Netherlands registration
- Support Finance Manager with annual stock take
- Support Finance Manager with preparation of reports and documentation needed for annual audit
- Provide assistance to finance team as needed
**Qualifications and skills**:
- Minimum AAT Level 3 preferred, QBE accepted
- Previous experience in a supporting finance role
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Organised and detail orientated
- Ability to prioritise independently
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgement
