We are looking for an enthusiastic food production Supervisor to expand our growing High Care team/ Packing team, to help produce and pack our products ready for delivery. You will have a minimum of one year's experience working in a food production environment, a good work ethic and be a reliable individual. This is a role that involves standing on your feet for much of the day, moving ingredients and equipment around during production, so you will need to have a good level of fitness. **Main duties include (but are not limited to)**: - Working within production, preparing, making, finishing or packing our products. - Leading a team of Operatives to meet production & packing plans. - Managing a team and the workload based on the weeks orders. - Ordering stock needed for production runs. - Follow start up and close down procedures, and maintaining a clean working environment throughout the day. - Adhering to hygiene working practices to ensure the highest possible standards, and all procedures relating to food safety, legality and quality are adhered to. - Monitor and maintain the quality of the product throughout the process. - Complete all relevant paperwork fully every time a product is produced - Ensure correct utilization of manpower and raise concerns in a timely manner with the Senior Supervisor - Production. **Leadership responsibilities** - To promote a culture of dignity and respect amongst staff. - Ensure designated areas of work are left in a clean, safe, hygienic condition. - Maintain required standards, including that of health and safety at all times. - Ensure correct manual handling techniques are followed at all times. - Be aware of company standards and expectations. - To develop an environment that is free from intimidation, harassment and bullying. - integrity / Honesty: Always try to do the right thing. Be honest with yourself, your thoughts and opinions, - Commitment: To ensure that you get success from your achievements - plan to succeed: set targets and timelines; be committed to the end and do not be afraid to get help along the way. - Teamwork: the "team" is about everyone - demonstrate support to colleagues and your peer group and motivate and support your uplines by sharing good news and bad news in a positive manner that ensures that everyone in your department understands what makes the business a success. - Communication: To be able to communicate dearly, at all levels, both verbally, and via other methods necessary to get the right message across. - Leadership: lead by example and be able to guide and coach new members of the team, or any member that is struggling in the best working practices and behaviours expected of our business to ensure they are consistently demonstrate good performance and are not afraid to make their own personal contribution when required. - Trust: be able to keep confidences and promises to your colleagues, peer group and team members and ensure that the company values are adhered to at all times. - Simplicity / Innovation: Keep the work ethic simple whilst being innovative and forward thinking and forward thinking when working in our department so that everyone can play a part in it. **You must be** - Resourceful and adaptable - Willing to change tasks or departments as production requires - Able to communicate easily with all other staff and able to understand the company written records and documents. - Able to carry out the tasks that would be reasonably required. - Minimum one year's food industry experience. - Comfortable with handling, preparing and baking of food which involves long periods of standing, lifting and carrying as well as other tasks such as cleaning. - About You - Previous experience of working in a food production environment - Experience in leading a team with a goal to fulfil the daily packing plan - Food safety in manufacturing - HACCP understanding (desirable) - H&S training (advantage) - Good level of spoken and written English - Excellent attention to detail. - Good time management and ability to work to deadlines. - Liaise with Technical, Warehouse and Production/Planning departments to ensure that smooth operation. - Responsible for training and guidance of production staff - Knowledge of food hygiene standards - Honesty - Consistency and attentiveness - Adequate friendliness - Problem solving - Open, adaptable, flexible with versatility - Ability to work autonomously - Discretion - Attention to detail and pride. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £27,000.00-£29,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company pension - On-site parking **Experience**: - Food industry: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
