The post holder will work within a newly established service forming part of the wider Liaison & Diversion services across Lancashire and Cumbria.

The role of the MHTR Wellbeing Practitioner is to work with people who have been convicted of offences that appear to be an associated with an unmet psychological need or problem. The post holder will have detailed knowledge and the practical skills, in order to carry out assessments, formulations and therapeutic interventions with this client group, and they will be expected to be able to evaluate their work.

The role will be to provide low level psychological interventions for depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders and learning difficulties.

The post holder will be expected to work in a range of settings including work from Local Magistrates Courts and a range of Health, Social care and Probation Premises with a locality/area and therefore travel is an integral part of the post. The post holder will also be expected to provide domiciliary visits where required and must have a flexible approach in order to facilitate therapeutic sessions in a variety of accommodation.
