We are recruiting for an experienced administrator to join our North & West regional team. As the administrative backbone of our Blackburn campus, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programmes and operations. From managing schedules and coordinating events to supporting faculty and participants, your organisational skills and attention to detail will be put to the test. This role will focus on supporting the delivery of our teacher and leader development programmes and will require the successful applicant to work closely with our senior team.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:

- To contribute to accurate and timely administrative systems across the campus.
- To liaise with associates, partners and stakeholders to ensure that operational requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
- To positively promote effective communication within the Institute community.
- To work with colleagues to champion the Institute brand and promote the Institute’s ethos and aspirations.
- To support the provision of online and remote delivery of professional development using a range of digital learning and communication platforms.
- Support the administration of the programme across campus including responding to prospective participants, authentication of participant data, registration, induction, maintenance of tracking databases etc.
- Provide administration support to ensure the successful delivery of the programme including participant management, reprographic support, production of resources, proofing of learning materials, production of attendance lists etc.
- Attend and support face to face and online training sessions as required including online training.
- Assist with the organisation and presentation of materials on the Institute’s online platforms.
- Maintain knowledge on the Institute’s programme offer, to enable advice to be provided to participants and other stakeholders.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required to fulfil the role.
- Organise and administer the booking of online sessions, rooms and associated facilities for training and meetings.
- Ensure that confidentiality is maintained in all areas and to ensure that all GDPR principles are adhered to.
- Draft letters, undertake mail merges and maintain databases.
- Maintain high quality records to track participant engagement to support monitoring against DfE key performance indicators.
- Establish clear routines for sharing and disseminating information and resources (including room bookings) between participants, facilitators, coaches, tutors and all partners that enable the campus to run in an organised and professional manner.
- Maintain safety and security of all individuals involved in events by reporting any safety concerns, adhering to fire safety regulations and implementing correct procedures for recording attendance;
- Adhere to office procedures and maintain accurate record keeping;
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues;
- Demonstrate an active commitment to own professional development;
- To comply with the National Institute of Teaching policies and procedures at all times.
- Undertake other reasonable duties (with competence and experience) as requested, in accordance with the changing needs of the organisation.

**Essential criteria**
- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching
- An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases
- A pro-active approach that focuses on solutions
- Highly proficient in managing and monitoring processes which drive successful reporting
- A sensitivity to the requirements of different audiences and an ability to adapt style appropriately
- A track record of, or the potential to co-ordinate key events or programmes (ideally in the education sector)

**Desirable**
- Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team
- Previous experience in the education sector
- Experience of using management information systems and/or various online learning environments, particularly Microsoft Teams
- Previous team co-ordination/PA experience

**Salary**: £24,496 - £26,845 per annum + benefits
