**About PalTank**
Paltank is an ISO tank operator dedicated to the movement of wines and spirits globally. We work with some leading brands, with a team of over 30 members of staff mainly based in Southport, UK and also having team members based in Europe and South Africa
Our business has expended to include Customs Clearance through our Palfreight division which covers clearance not only for our tanks but for cased and finished goods.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Communicating with the UK & EU Operations Team
- Handling of customs clearance documentation and making sure all documents contain the minimum standard information required.
- Prepping and submitting customs declaration in Descartes / e-Customs
- Uploading clearance paperwork into our internal system for record keeping purposes
- Working with reports to make sure all documentation is in place and movements finalised
- Supporting on monthly audits and customs amendments where required
- Tracking and monitoring ETAs of shipments
- Leasing with clients, customs officials and carriers
**Required experience and skills**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customs clearance role (Import & Export)
- In-depth knowledge of import and export procedures and customs regulations
- Strong Communication skills
- Attention to detail
**Preferred Knowledge and Skill**:
- Descartes / e-Customs Knowledge
- Familiar with Destin8 & CNS
- Customs compliance Knowledge
- Freight Forwarding Knowledge
- Excise knowledge
Pay: £27,500.00-£31,500.00 per year
