**Job Description**:
Make your mark as a Commercial Specialist for Boskalis Subsea Services located in Aberdeen. As a Commercial Specialist you will provide contractual and commercial support to Project teams, internal departments and the Commercial Department generally to ensure that Boskalis Subsea Services Limited is mitigating its contractual and commercial risk at all times and optimising its project and internal equipment supplier delivery. We are looking for one Senior and one Commercial Specialist to join the team in Aberdeen.

**Y**our responsibilities as a Commercial Specialist**
- Create contractual and commercial documentation in preparation for project mobilisation
- Provide support and guidance to Project Managers and relevant Commercial team members on contractual and commercial issues where requested
- Review any major commercial and contractual risks and opportunities identified within the projects and develop strategies to mitigate Boskalis’ exposure or realise any opportunities. This includes working with the Project Managers to optimise the best commercial and contractual value for the projects
- Responsible for managing contractual change with the assistance of the project team where required, negotiation and execution of all Variation Orders/Amendments with Client and maintaining the project variation register
- Responsible for commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, evaluating, negotiating, awarding and managing all subcontracts ensuring the necessary main contract flow downs are incorporated
- Ensure awareness of cost is present within the teams and that cost focus remains paramount. This includes working with the Project Manager and the Project Controller to understand and be able to explain the projects financial performance and supporting with the tracking, forecasting and control of costs

**Your qualities**
You can make your mark as** **a** Commercial Specialist** if you have:

- A degree preferably within Law, Business or Quantity Surveying qualification, or relevant experience
- Considerable work experience as a Commercial / Contracts Specialist (or similar role) within the Oil & Gas, Construction & Civil Engineering or Renewables industries
- Experience of managing both LOGIC and FIDIC based contracts and translating such contracts into appropriate subcontracting arrangements
- Experience in project execution
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Adaptability and problem solving capability
- A pro-active forward looking approach

**Extra Information**
- Your team: You will be part of an experienced team with other Commercial Specialists. You will be assigned specific projects to be the main Commercial focal point for, therefore will have key interfaces with those working on the projects (both internally & externally).
- Where you will work: Your location will be our office in Aberdeen and you have the option to work from home 2 days per week. Fixed office days are Tuesday and Thursday’s.
- Fulltime job: The position of (Senior) Commercial Specialist** **is full time, 35 hours per week.
