Purpose of the Job
- The post-holder will be a core member of the research team supporting the Wales Collaborative for Learning Design (WCLD) project.- The post-holder will support the development and administration of the ‘learning labs’ and evaluation efforts.Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan ethics and data collection to support the evaluation of the WCLD deliverables.- Support the development of training resources and activities focusing on technology/learning design.- Conduct a review of the literature review and support dissemination efforts (e.g. writing for publication).- Play an integral part in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.- To provide support to the research team in the gathering and analysis of data. This could include; participating in data collection or sampling / computer data entry / taking part in scientific literature searches / gathering data and information from focus groups / assist in the design and implementation of research / assisting in the statistical analyses of data.- To work as part of the research team in delivering research outcomes. This could include: contributing towards the creation of reports and publication in research journals / helping in the preparation of materials for presentation to conferences / supporting the research team in the presentation of research outcomes to internal and external stakeholders as part of knowledge transfer / taking part in the organisation of events and seminars to disseminate information.- To assist and support in the administration of the research project. This might include; arranging research related meetings / circulating information / collecting and completing research related timesheets.- To assist and support in the monitoring of financial controls associated with the research project. This might include; monitoring and gathering invoices for payment / taking part in research team discussions relating to budgets / entering data and preparing reports in order to monitor research project finance / assist in the preparation and proposals for research funding.Other

**Qualifications**:
EssentialExperience/Knowledge

Essential
- Previous research experience.- Previous experience designing and conducting applied research in schools.- The ability to undertake qualitative data collection and analysis.Desirable
- Experience of delivering conference presentations and/or delivering stakeholder training or dissemination sessions.Skills/Abilities

Essential
- Demonstrate good analytical skills, ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data and present results appropriately.- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.- Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team.- Experience working with a variety of individuals utilising effective interpersonal skills.- Demonstrate good computer skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.Desirable
- Demonstrate good skills in SPSS or similar statistical analysis software.Other
