Structured Credit and Political Risk Underwriter

Within this major corporate insurer you will underwrite single / political risks submitted by brokers or internal referrals and prepare information and analysis.
The most important aspect of the role is self-motivation, drive and ambition as you will have full exposure to strategy, broker and client liaison, as well as mentoring junior employees.
You will develop a portfolio of Single Risk clients within the underwriting framework set by Group strategy.
Achieve financial targets for the Single Risk team.
Develop the premiums in Single Risk according to budget.
Support the Underwriting team including country, sector, and financial research and analysis and review of client/deal specific information.
Ensure that the operations underwritten are compliant with Group rules and underwriting policy.
Build and maintain excellent long-term broker and client relationships, with a high quality of service.
Maintain an appropriate involvement in all relevant claims and / or recovery negotiations, when required by the department in charge.
