Job DescriptionAtradius Credit Specialties team is seeking an Underwriter / Senior Underwriter with experience in the London / Lloyds Credit & Political Risk market. The successful candidate will have experience underwriting a variety risks and structures to support the development of the Credit Specialties portfolio via Company and Lloyds capabilities and to play a key role in investigating new products and transactions. This team player will be part of a dedicated underwriting team, who will need to identify, review & underwrite business opportunities originated through specialised Credit & Political risk brokers located in London and the wider market. This position is based in either London or Paris and will involve occasional travel (national and international).In this position your key responsibilities will be:Evaluate the credit risks and transaction structures received from brokers.Decline, quote and bind profitable business in line with governance, authority, and strategy.Work alongside the Atradius analyst teams to support the underwriting and execution of new / renewal business.Management and servicing of the existing “live” portfolio.Conduct review, due diligence and underwrite the onboarding of new clients.Share knowledge, experience and expertise within the team and wider unitBuild on your existing network within the London CPRI market supporting Atradius’ key brokers.Participate in and travel to conferences and broker / client meetings.Share knowledge of market dynamics and key risks / sectors drivers to support the performance of the Unit.Provide the highest standard of service and expertise when dealing with brokers and clients.Maintain awareness of claim files providing updates and additional input in collaboration with the claims team.Cooperate with the other Credit Specialties teams across the world as well as the other Atradius departments.Knowledge, Skills and Experience5+ years-experience in the London / Lloyds Credit & Political Risk Insurance market and / or Banking Industry, Multilaterals / ECAsStrong analytical skills (corporate & financial, sectorial, political risk as well as transactional analysis).Proficiency in reviewing and commenting on loan / contractual documentation.Proficiency in reviewing and negotiating London Market wordings.Strong understanding on banks and traders and rationale behind purchase of the CPRI productUniversity degree and a strong affinity in geopolitics and economics.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in EnglishStrong command of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Teams).Flexibility and ability to work in dynamic, multicultural and entrepreneurial environment.What do we offer?A dynamic, international and challenging work environmentTraining and support to reach your full potential including the opportunity for continuous professional developmentHybrid working (work up to 2 days a week from home)Competitive salary and annual bonus schemeMarket leading pension package (a minimum of 12% employer contribution) plus 10 x life assurance coverIncome protection scheme (covering 75% of salary plus pension contributions)Employee Assistance ProgrammeA range of other flexible benefits and rewards #J-18808-Ljbffr
