Political Risk & Trade Credit Underwriter - London - £70,000-£80,000 + 25% bonus

Our client is currently seeking a Political Risk & Trade Credit Underwriter to be a part of their ever expanding team. May suit an Assistant Underwriter looking for their first full underwriters role.
**Responsibilities in the role**:
You will be required to drive growth through leveraging your strong market relationships and providing a first-class service to our customers/brokers. You will act as the technical expert and be a role model, coaching, and mentoring less experienced membersof the team to drive continued capability improvement in our business.
**Skills and experience we're looking for**:

- A detailed knowledge of Political Risk or Trade Credit Insurance, with strong underwriting or broking experience
- Experience of being responsible for own Underwriting caseload within a regulatory environment, following due process and within set authority limits
- Ability to analyse complex information and draw out the relevant facts demonstrating a strong attention to detail
- Excellent business development/customer engagement skills to influence key contacts in the marketplace
- A willingness to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues across the business and be a figurehead for the business
