Our client based in Islington looking for a **Bereavement Services Officer** to join their team, providing essential administrative support to ensure a high-quality, customer-focused burial and cremation service. This role is based at the Islington & Camden Cemetery/Crematorium.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the Cemetery Service, assisting with various administrative duties to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Deliver customer-focused service in handling inquiries, booking appointments, and assisting bereaved families with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Process burial and cremation paperwork, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records, managing databases and filing systems to support service continuity.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and support service improvement initiatives.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably within public sector or bereavement services.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations empathetically.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage databases, handle confidential information, and work as part of a team.
- A valid **DBS check** and **5 years of references** are required.

Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
