ROOM STEWARD/ESS

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To achieve a high standard of cleanliness working to Set Operational Procedures.

To promote a helpful and professional image to the customer and give full co-operation to any customer requiring assistance, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.

Operations Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Deputy Housekeeping Manager,

Housekeeping Supervisor.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Students/Trainees allocated to you.

MAIN TASKS
- To maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all aspects of your work.
- To report any maintenance or hazards.
- To clean all bedrooms, bathrooms, landings and staircases, to the set standard.
- To ensure all soft furnishings are washed on a regular basis.
- Removing dirty linen and rubbish.
- Deep clean rooms at regular intervals, following prescribed methods.
- To be fully aware of the hotel services, products and attractions in the surrounding area and promote at every opportunity, i.e. Restaurant, Charlies Bar, Leisure etc.
- Assist in other areas when requested.
- To give full co-operation to colleagues and attend monthly meetings and briefings when required to do so.
- To attend training sessions to ensure we meet the needs of the business
- To anticipate customer needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance customer satisfaction.
- Employ efficient working methods, do not waste materials, use equipment and materials correctly, maintain equipment and materials in good order, conserve energy whenever possible. Take pride in your work, yourself and your presentation. Keep your work area clean and tidy, do not create hazardous situations. Leave equipment safe and clean after use. Be fully aware of FIRE EVACUATION PROCEDURES and adhere to other legislation i.e. COSHH, FOOD HYGIENE. HEALTH AND SAFETY LICENCING etc.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

- Loyalty bonus

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterton Park Hotel, WF2 6PW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
