**CREDIT CONTROL TEAM LEADER**

Our client is looking for a Credit Control Team Leader who will manage and lead one of the Credit Control Teams to ensure the Company achieves all set goals and associated Key Performance Indicators, through the delivery of agreed Debt levels Targets.
**Key Responsibilities role**:
- Management and development of Credit Control Team.
- Responsible for aged debt and cash collection.
- Working with the Account Receivable Manager advising on current debt issues.
- Maximising the cash flow by setting an internal mechanism to facilitate cash collection.
- Anticipating and minimising risk development and credit risk exposure.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.
- Monitor overdue payments, anticipate developments and identify customers which require special attention.
- Drive process improvements and team development
- To produce, analyse and monitor KPI reporting to the Account Receivable Manager & FC.
- Ensuring credit control related SOPs are up to date.
- To maintain the query management system internally.
- To obtain sufficient information, perform credit check and assess the credit worthiness of new customers to set credit limits.
- To authorise, release orders and raise credit limits.
- To liaise with contracts team for all legal matters relating to legal actions against customers.
- Ensure EDI is correctly working and up to date for all customers
- To carry out ad hoc duties as and when required by the Account Receivable Manager
**Key Performance Indicators**
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) UK - To maintain DSO levels to agreed figures.
- Credit Note Provision - To reduce credit note risk in key targeted areas
- Project Work and Departmental Reporting - To ensure that all project work/reporting is completed to deadlines set by the Account Receivable Manager.
- Degree level (preferably), 5 GCSEs or equivalent
- ICM qualification or equivalent preferred or studying towards.
- Experience of sales ledger/bookkeeping.
- Experience in cash allocation.
- Experience of dealing effectively with high volume and foreign accounts.
- Experience managing a Credit control team
- Excellent Excel/Word
- Accountancy knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal colleagues and external customers
- Experience of managing team of credit controllers
- Good analytical skills
- Proven ability for attention to detail and accuracy
