HR Administration Specialist

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior School Administrator to join our HR Business Support Team. The main purpose of the role will be manage and provide advice, guidance and support with the work of the Schools and Corporate HR teams and to supportthe HR Team Leader as required.
**Key tasks and responsibilities will be**:
- Responsible for the administration of allocated schools and requests are responded to in a professional and timely manner;
- Responsible for disseminating reports to allocated schools;
- Administering the HR payroll processing into the iTrent system in order to ensure prompt and accurate salary payments;
- Assist with checking payroll input as required;
- Manage and allocate work as required within the Schools and Corporarate teams;
- Responsible for developing the team in conjunction with the Team Leader;
- Be first point of contact, to provide advice and guidance to the Schools and Corporate team as required e.g, terms and conditions, payroll etc
- Responsible for checking and publishing adverts;
- Responsible for and responding to issues by the schools and the client;
- Responsible for signing off contracts of employment;
- Prepare contracts of employment and variation letters including pay changes, maternity and contract extension as required;
- Assist with managing the on-line DBS portal and respond to queries as required;
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as required, commensurate with responsibility and grade within the wider HR Business Support team.
**Essential Skills and Attributes**:
- Educated to GCSE level or above with English and Maths, Grade C or above;
- Demonstrable HR administrative experience of working in an educational/schools administration environment;
- Demonstrable experience and/or ability to manage the team/s on a day to day basis;
- Experience in dealing with a high volume workload and being able to work under pressure;
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure timescales are met;
- Excellent IT skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and iTrent experience preferable but training will be provided;
- Strong attention to detail with experience of maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to service delivery;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Experience of working in a customer service and continuous improvement environment.
- Provide support and resolve any problems that may arise.
- Effective team player capable of building good working relationships with clients and colleagues
